Make Bespoke Studio produces architectural joinery for residential, hospitality and commercial schemes worldwide. From bespoke kitchens and fitted libraries to hotel reception desks and spa interiors, we manufacture to the highest standard in our dedicated woodwork facility. As a specialist bespoke joinery company in the UK, we work with interior designers, architects and main contractors on projects that demand precision, craft and reliable delivery.
Our residential joinery spans fitted wardrobes and dressing rooms, bespoke kitchens and pantries, home offices, home cinemas, libraries and staircases. For hospitality and commercial clients, we produce reception and lobby joinery, hotel guestroom furniture, spa and wellness interiors, restaurant banquettes, and retail fit-outs. Every category benefits from the same rigorous standards: technically accurate drawings, CNC-machined carcasses and hand-finished surfaces.
Carpentry and joinery are often confused — if you are new to the craft, our guide to what joinery is explains the difference and what a bespoke joiner actually does, from workshop to installation.
Timber species, veneers, lacquer colours, hardware and ironmongery are all selected in collaboration with the design team. Our woodwork facility includes dedicated spray booths, CNC routing and veneering presses, meaning the entire production process, from cutting to finishing, takes place in-house. This gives us full quality control and transparent lead time management throughout your project.
We have delivered bespoke joinery for major London residences, for Five-Star hotels including The Dorchester and Maybourne Riviera, and for private schools and cultural institutions. If you are looking for a bespoke joinery company in London or a bespoke fitted furniture specialist for a luxury interior, we would welcome the conversation.

Every joinery project begins with a brief. We work alongside architects, interior designers and private clients to develop the specification, produce drawings and manufacture in our dedicated facility.
Start a conversation →Joinery is where a scheme moves from sketch to something you can touch. At Make Bespoke Studio we design, coordinate and deliver bespoke joinery for hotels, members’ clubs and private residences. We work alongside interior designers, architects and procurement teams to turn concept drawings into fully detailed joinery packages – from a single media wall to an entire floor of guest rooms.
This page sits at the centre of our joinery offering. From here you can explore the specific applications we deliver through pages such as Media Walls & TV Joinery, Home Cinemas & Screening Rooms, Wardrobes & Dressing Rooms, Fitted Storage & Alcove Units, Libraries & Bookcase Joinery, Home Offices & Study Joinery, Bespoke Kitchens & Pantries, Home Bars & Back Bars, Hospitality Bars & Back Counters, Tea Points & Breakout Kitchenettes, Hotel Guestroom Joinery, Reception Desks & Lobby Joinery, Amenity & Members’ Club Joinery, Spa & Wellness Joinery, Locker Rooms & Back-of-House Joinery, Wall Panelling & Architectural Joinery, Internal Doors & Screens, Utility, Laundry & Boot Room Joinery and Outdoor & Terrace Joinery.
For us, joinery is everything built-in and crafted that shapes how a space feels – the pieces that sit between architecture and furniture. That might be a calm, panelled media wall in a London apartment, a run of wardrobes and dressing room joinery in a country house, or a complete guestroom package in a new hotel. Whatever the scale, it is specialist joinery: precision-made, fully bespoke and detailed for the specific room it lives in.
Our work covers a wide range of elements, which we group in more detail on our Types of Joinery page and explore stylistically on our Joinery Styles page.
We primarily support interior designers, architects and procurement teams. Some studios bring us in at concept stage, others once layouts are set and they need a partner to resolve the technical detail. We are comfortable working directly with clients where appropriate, but always with full respect for the originating design intent.
Materiality is central to our work. We regularly combine timber and veneers, lacquers, stone, metal and specialist glass. Details such as pulls, inlays, shadow gaps and lighting are resolved at drawing stage so that nothing feels like an afterthought on site.
Our Materials library allows us to develop coherent palettes across large projects, while our Joinery Styles thinking helps ensure that traditional, contemporary or more eclectic schemes all feel authentic and thoroughly resolved.
We are used to integrating lighting, AV equipment, air grilles and access panels into joinery so that practical requirements disappear into the overall composition.
We split our work broadly into hospitality and residential sectors, with frequent crossover between the two.
In hospitality projects we deliver full packages of Hotel Guestroom Joinery, Reception Desks & Lobby Joinery, Amenity & Members’ Club Joinery, Spa & Wellness Joinery, Locker Rooms & Back-of-House Joinery and Hospitality Bars & Back Counters. Consistency, durability and ease of maintenance are always at the forefront of the design.
On residential projects we typically focus on Wardrobes & Dressing Rooms, Media Walls & TV Joinery, Home Offices & Study Joinery, Libraries & Bookcase Joinery, Bespoke Kitchens & Pantries, Utility, Laundry & Boot Room Joinery and Outdoor & Terrace Joinery. Here we pay particular attention to how clients will live with the joinery every day.
What is the difference between joinery and carpentry?
Carpentry tends to describe structural or site-based timber work. Joinery is usually more detailed, finished work – built-in elements, fitted furniture and specialist pieces that demand a higher level of precision.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in London and work on projects across the UK and, where the brief is right, in Europe. Our manufacturing network is largely UK and Europe based, which keeps communication straightforward and lead times reliable.
When should we involve you in a project?
The earlier we are involved, the more we can help shape layouts and coordination. However, we are also comfortable joining once a scheme is well developed to resolve the technical detail and deliver the joinery package.
What scale of projects do you take on?
We work on everything from a single hero piece within a private home to full joinery packages for hotels and members’ clubs. The common thread is that each project benefits from careful, bespoke design and making.
If you have a project where bespoke joinery will play an important role, we would be delighted to talk. Share a drawing set or a simple sketch with us and we can respond with an outline approach, coordination considerations, indicative budget range and programme – all with the aim of supporting you in delivering memorable, meticulously detailed spaces.
Bespoke joinery covers fitted and architectural woodwork made to the dimensions of a space: wardrobes and dressing rooms, libraries and bookcases, kitchens and pantries, media walls, panelling, staircases, doors and screens, and reception or hospitality joinery. Each piece is engineered to the millimetre within the architecture and finished by hand.
Yes. We work from your drawings, advise on feasibility and detailing, and produce shop drawings for sign-off before fabrication. Tolerances, reveals, grain matching and hardware are agreed in advance, so the installed joinery matches the design intent and the building.
We work in solid timber and veneer across oak, walnut and a wide range of species, with lacquer, oil, stain and specialist finishes. We can match existing joinery or develop a finish from a sample. Material and finish samples are prepared before production so choices are confirmed on the actual specification.
