Built-in furniture

Built-in furniture to the millimetre

Fitted furniture integrates with the architecture of a space rather than sitting against it. Pieces are designed to occupy an alcove, line a wall or wrap a room exactly — no visible gaps, no filler strips, no compromise on the line between furniture and building fabric. Make Bespoke Studio produces fitted furniture in close coordination with the joinery team, ensuring finish levels and detail are consistent throughout the scheme.

Each commission begins with a detailed site survey. Templates are taken from walls, floors and ceilings before manufacture — a critical step in rooms where corners are out of square, floors are uneven or ceiling heights vary across the run. All pieces are drawn in CAD and manufactured to tolerances of under 1mm, with installation sequenced to suit the fit-out programme.

Finishes cover the full range of lacquer, veneer, painted and solid wood options, matching or coordinating with joinery elsewhere in the scheme. Internal fittings — hanging rails, pull-out drawers, adjustable shelving, integrated lighting, soft-close mechanisms and bespoke hardware — are specified and fitted as part of the commission. Banquette seating and window seats can be upholstered in client-supplied or studio-sourced fabrics.
