Banquette seating does quiet, constant work. It turns walls into seats, corners into destinations and awkward floor plans into efficient ones. A well-made banquette holds its shape through years of daily service, keeps its upholstery line crisp and conceals everything a room needs underneath and behind it.

Why designers bring us in

As banquette seating manufacturers working across hospitality and residential projects, we are usually brought in when fixed seating has to do several jobs at once: maximise covers, follow a curved or stepped wall, hide services, and meet a precise upholstery specification. We take responsibility for the joinery carcass, the upholstery interface and the coordination between the two, so the seat, back and surround read as one piece rather than three trades meeting awkwardly.

We work from designers’ concepts or develop layouts ourselves, producing detailed drawings that fix seat heights, depths, rake angles and table relationships before anything is made.

Banquettes in restaurants, bars and hotels

• Restaurant dining rooms – perimeter and island banquettes that set the seating plan, define circulation and lift cover counts without crowding the room.
• Hotel all-day dining and lobby lounges – longer runs with varied back heights, integrated power and durable rails where luggage and daily cleaning take their toll.
• Bars and members’ clubs – intimate booths and curved banquettes with deeper buttoning, richer materials and lighting integrated into the surround.
• Booth seating – enclosed and semi-enclosed booths, curved booths and high-backed fixed seating that carve intimate rooms out of open plans.
• Cafés and casual formats – simpler, harder-wearing builds with wipeable surfaces and accessible fixings for refurbishment cycles.

Banquettes in residential projects

• Kitchen and breakfast nooks – L-shaped and U-shaped banquettes that pair with Kitchens & Pantries joinery, often with lift-up storage under the seats.
• Bay windows and window seats – seats scribed to the architecture, with radiator grilles, drawers or simple closed storage below.
• Snugs and media rooms – deeper, softer builds that work alongside Media Walls and Home Cinemas & Screening Rooms.
• Hallways and boot rooms – bench seating with cubbies and hooks, closely related to our Utility & Boot Room work.

Construction, upholstery and services

A banquette is a piece of structural joinery before it is a soft seat. We build frames in hardwood and high-grade ply, engineered for the spans and fixing conditions of each wall, with seat platforms designed for the specified foam, springing and upholstery build-up.

• Cushion strategy – fixed upholstered seats for crisp lines and daily service, or loose bench cushions where softness and easy cleaning matter; stitching, piping and fluting specified per design.
• Upholstery interface – we coordinate directly with upholsterers, agreeing rail positions, pull lines and stitch details so panels meet the joinery cleanly and can be removed for re-covering.
• Integrated services – power and USB outlets, lighting to plinths and surrounds, ventilation grilles and access panels are planned into the carcass from the first drawing.
• Storage – lift-up seats, drawers and end cupboards make use of the volume a banquette encloses.
• Durability – kick plinths, protected edges and serviceable fixings are standard in hospitality settings.

Timbers, veneers, lacquers and metals are drawn from our Materials library and sampled against the upholstery selections before production.

Our process for banquette seating

1. Brief & layout review – we study the floor plan, covers target or family use, and the relationship between seats, tables and circulation.
2. Seat geometry – heights, depths, rake and table reach are fixed with the designer, often tested with a simple mock-up.
3. Technical design – carcass construction, fixing details, services and the upholstery interface are drawn for sign-off.
4. Materials and samples – joinery finishes are sampled alongside upholstery so the full composition is approved together.
5. Production & installation – frames are made in our partner workshops, delivered and installed in coordination with the upholsterer and site team.
6. Aftercare – we remain available for adjustments, re-covering support and extensions as rooms evolve.
