"Rattan and Cane for Bespoke Furniture"

Rattan and cane are harvested from tropical palms and used in furniture and joinery for their natural lightness, flexibility and visual openness. The woven surface introduces texture and breathability that solid panels cannot provide, making it particularly effective in warm climates, hospitality environments and interiors where a material contrast is required.

We use rattan and cane in joinery cabinet doors, headboards, room dividers, bar fronts and upholstered panel inserts. Cane webbing — the fine open weave — is set into routed grooves in timber frames for a clean, flush appearance. Rattan poles are used for structural elements such as chair frames, stool legs and decorative lattice screens. Natural and smoked finishes are both available.

Rattan is one of the fastest-growing plants used in furniture production, harvested from managed plantations without destroying the root system. It qualifies as a renewable material under most environmental certification schemes, and we source from suppliers with documented chain of custody. All rattan and cane is incorporated into joinery and furniture produced in our London workshops.
