Lacquer is a resin-based or synthetic coating applied by spray in a climate-controlled environment. Multiple coats are laid down in sequence, each sanded and de-nibbed between applications, producing a surface of depth and consistency that cannot be achieved by brush or roller. The process is the same whether the target sheen is 10% dead matt or 90% high-gloss mirror.
Colour is matched to RAL, NCS, Farrow & Ball or any custom reference. Specialist types include pearlescent finishes that shift in light, two-pack polyurethane for maximum durability on surfaces that receive regular contact, and water-based formulations for projects with low-VOC requirements.
Lacquer is specified where colour accuracy, sheen consistency and cleanability are all required — cabinetry, joinery panels, furniture carcasses, headboards, door faces and hospitality millwork. It holds colour more accurately across large areas than painted finishes, and can be matched precisely for restoration or extension work on existing pieces.
