Bespoke Furniture
Make Bespoke Studio designs and manufactures bespoke outdoor furniture for private terraces, hotel pool decks, superyacht decks and public spaces. Primary structural materials are teak, Iroko, powder-coated aluminium, marine-grade stainless steel and PVD-coated stainless. All pieces are made to order and can be finished to coordinate with interior schemes for a consistent indoor-outdoor palette.
Timber pieces are built on solid teak or Iroko frames — both naturally durable and dimensionally stable in exposed conditions. Marine ply is used as a structural substrate where veneered surfaces are required outdoors; sealed with weatherproof varnish, it accepts the same veneer range available for interior casegoods, extending decorative options beyond plain timber.
For metal elements, powder-coated aluminium and steel provide colour consistency across RAL and NCS references, with finishes suited to high UV and moisture exposure. PVD-coated stainless steel adds further colour range — brass, black, champagne, graphite — while retaining the corrosion resistance of the base metal. Upholstered outdoor pieces use open-cell reticulated foam, which drains water through its structure and resists mould, covered in solution-dyed acrylic or other technical outdoor fabrics.

Outdoor furniture fails in predictable ways — water gets in, UV bleaches, fixings corrode — so outdoor bespoke work is materials engineering as much as design. We build for covered terraces, open roof decks and poolside exposure, each a different severity of weather and a different specification.
Timber outdoors means naturally durable species — teak, iroko, accoya — left to silver or oiled to hold colour. Metals are 316 stainless, powder-coated aluminium or bronze, chosen for the marine conditions of coastal projects. Stone and porcelain handle tabletops; rope and rattan-style weaves in modern polymer versions bring softness without the decay of natural cane. Fixings are always marine-grade — the cheapest component is the one that ruins the piece.
The best outdoor furniture belongs to the same family as the interiors it adjoins. We design terrace pieces alongside the indoor scheme — matched timbers, related upholstery, continuous detailing — so a garden room or rooftop reads as the house continuing, not a catalogue annex.
