High-gloss lacquer, specialist paint and colour-matched finishes, applied in a dedicated clean-room facility.
The spraywork facility is a dedicated, climate-controlled clean room. Specialist painters apply lacquer, paint and decorative finishes to furniture and joinery at any scale, from a single piece to a full scheme — colour-matched to RAL, NCS, Farrow & Ball or any custom reference.
Sheen level is specified as a percentage: 10% is a dead matt, 90% is a high-gloss mirror finish, and every point between is achievable. Specialist lacquer options include pearlescent finishes that shift in light, two-pack polyurethane for maximum durability, water-based finishes for low-VOC requirements, and anti-fingerprint and anti-bacterial coatings.
Application technique matters as much as the specification. Our painters work across a range of methods — conventional spraying for uniform coverage, blown and trickled application for organic variation, layered and masked finishes for depth and contrast, and splattered and textured effects for tactile surfaces. The combination of technique, sheen and colour is developed project by project.
Every piece is sanded, primed and de-nibbed between coats in a dust-free environment, so the finish reads as consistent across the full extent of a commission. The clean room is climate-controlled to hold temperature and humidity stable while solvent- and water-based coatings cure.
Designers and architects can work directly with our finishing team to develop a bespoke finish — as a new scheme, or to complement and enhance an existing piece or palette. Commission a sample panel early and we will match sheen, colour and texture before the full run begins.
