Bespoke Lighting
Make Bespoke Studio's contemporary lighting range covers architectural pendants, linear systems, statement clusters and sculptural floor lamps. Designs are clean-lined and material-led, brass, bronze, blackened steel, stone and glass.
All contemporary lighting is bespoke, we work from a brief, sketch design concepts, refine with the designer and manufacture to order. Typical lead time is 10–14 weeks from sign-off.
Materials are selected for their quality under light — brass develops a warm glow, bronze deepens with age, blackened steel provides a strong silhouette. Integrated LED specification — colour temperature, CRI, dimming protocol — is resolved as part of the design, with drivers and control gear concealed within the fitting or in the ceiling void. All pieces can be specified with appropriate IP ratings for damp or exposed locations.
Contemporary lighting is where fixtures and architecture merge: linear pendants tracking a bar, sculptural floor lamps anchoring a lounge, large modern chandeliers scaled to double-height voids. We manufacture from designers’ drawings or develop concepts with them — metalwork, glass, fabric and timber combined in one engineered piece.
The contemporary statement chandelier is less about ornament than about scale and repetition: rings of light, staggered glass globes, arrays of pendants hung as one composition. These pieces are engineered like small structures — load-calculated, rigged with concealed cabling, and designed for lamping access — and we coordinate fixing points and wiring routes with the structural engineer and M&E contractor from the first drawing.
Blackened steel, polished and brushed brass, bronze, hand-blown glass, alabaster, rattan and fabric shades — contemporary work draws on the full materials library, and lighting metalwork is finished to match ironmongery and joinery hardware across the scheme. Bespoke lighting design at this level is a coordination exercise as much as a craft one, which is why fixtures, joinery and furniture from one workshop network keep a scheme coherent.
