Libraries & Bookcases

Make Bespoke Studio creates fitted libraries and bookcases of exceptional quality, floor-to-ceiling, alcove-filling or free-standing, in painted, veneered or solid wood. All libraries are built to accommodate real books: shelves are sized to standard book heights and are adjustable on brass pins.

We include integrated lighting as standard, typically LED strips concealed in the cornice above each bay, with a warm 2700K tone. Rolling library ladders on brass rails are available. Timber species, paint colour, cornice profile and glass door options are all specified to brief.

Cornice, skirting and pilaster profiles are designed to match the room's existing architecture or, in new-build spaces, drawn as part of a coordinated scheme. Display bays with glass doors and plate-glass shelves are integrated where needed. Flat-screen televisions and AV equipment can be concealed within the library joinery behind hinged panels or within purpose-built bays.
