heritage & contemporary lighting

Our West Midlands factory was founded in 1888 and has been in continuous operation for over 135 years, making it one of Britain's longest-established bespoke lighting workshops. The factory produces crystal chandeliers, architectural pendants, decorative wall lights and contemporary statement pieces. It holds Made in Britain certification. Located in the historic heart of British lighting manufacturing, the factory is led by craftsmen whose training spans both heritage techniques and modern fabrication methods.

The heritage of the workshop spans the transition from gas to electric lighting. Its methods have adapted across more than a century while maintaining hand-assembly and hand-finishing at their core. Crystal chandeliers are hand-assembled from cut and polished crystal components, with brass, bronze or nickel frames produced in-house. Heritage fittings draw on an archive and pattern library built over 135 years: period reproductions, country house chandeliers, sconces and lanterns produced to museum-grade standards. Contemporary lighting covers sculptural pendants, blown-glass installations and architectural feature lighting designed in dialogue with the studio and client team.

Pieces produced here travel to luxury hotels, members' clubs, private residences and high-specification commercial projects across the UK and internationally. Every fitting is wired, tested and certified to the appropriate national standards before leaving the factory, with bespoke colour temperatures, finishes and dimming specifications agreed during the design process.

Birmingham’s metal trades, since 1888

The workshop was established in 1888, when Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and brass trades supplied the world. Founded during the age of gas lighting, it adapted to electric manufacture in the early twentieth century and has remained in continuous production ever since. That depth of heritage suits the precision of bespoke lighting.

Chandeliers, pendants and wall lights are built from machined and hand-finished metal components, wired and assembled to specification. Crystal and glass elements are fitted by hand. The factory holds Made in Britain certification, and each fixture is tested before it leaves the bench.
