steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, bronze, copper

Our Sussex workshop is dedicated to bespoke metalwork, with over two decades of specialist experience. The team works across the full range of metals: steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, bronze and copper, producing components for furniture, architectural joinery and standalone metal pieces to tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre.

Architectural metalwork is the core discipline. Staircases, balustrades, screens, gates and railings sit alongside decorative furniture metalwork: polished brass handles and door furniture, structural steel frames for upholstered seating, custom hardware, bronze inlay strips, oxidised and patinated finishes, and architectural metal panels at scale. CNC plasma cutting, CNC milling and water-jet cutting sit alongside hand-finishing and traditional metalworking techniques.

Sussex's proximity to London and to the south coast ports gives the workshop direct logistics across the UK and to the continent. Pieces produced here travel as part of full furniture and joinery commissions or ship independently to other facilities for integration into larger work, a connected part of the studio's wider manufacturing network.

Sussex metalwork

The Sussex workshop sits in the South East of England, with over twenty years of operation and the room that metalwork’s heat, weight and noise require. It is a single-discipline workshop given over entirely to bespoke metal, working across steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, bronze and copper.

Architectural metalwork is the core: staircases, balustrades, screens, gates and railings alongside decorative furniture pieces. CNC plasma cutting handles heavy plate and structural profiles. Patination and plating are developed in sample, so the colour of the metal is set before the piece is made at scale.
